Aoi Shiro (Pt 2): Neo Finds a Girl on the Beach & Learns That He Visited the Island Before

Neo, Syouko and the rest of the Kendo club continue settling in to the shrine they will be staying at during their summer training camp, finishing the day by having a big dinner that every occupant in the shrine could attend. Everyone is satisfied with the meal that was prepared except for fellow club member Akita Momoko, who made it clear in no uncertain terms that the lack of "animal protein" in the meal brought forth great suffering for her, although her complaints are largely ignored by everyone else. Everyone then goes to bed shortly after, although Syouko has trouble staying asleep and later wakes up in the middle of the night. She feels drawn by the sounds of the nearby ocean, and so decides to go wander the beach by herself, although both she and Neo quickly discover that Aizawa Yasumi, fellow Kendo club member and friend of Syouko's, was also present at the beach.

The two of them soon discover a young girl with white hair washed ashore on the beach, and Neo decides to have Syouko rush to the girl's aid while Yasumi goes back to the shrine for help. They bring the girl back to the shrine, where the Kendo club's teacher and the shrine's proceed to put the girl under their care and supervision. Afterward everyone goes back to sleep, although they are understandably eager to hear word on the girl's condition the following day after they wake up.

The next day Neo and Syouko inquire about the girl's condition, and it would seem that she is physically okay and is resting up in one of the guest rooms. Deciding that the girl would be okay under the adults' supervision, Neo decides to go about his day as though last night's incident didn't occur, and to that end everyone engages in club activities throughout the day. However, later on in the day something triggers brief flashbacks in Syouko's mind, and the brief images both she and Neo see indicate that Syouko might have visited Shoushinji and the surrounding region before, and Syouko specu..
