During the summer, our elected officials in Hawaii promised us that all restrictions would be dropped after we reached the 70 percent vaccination rate goal. However, as we reached that nearly impossible number, they've backed off on lifting restrictions and declared that the new parameters for lifting restrictions will be based on daily covid cases and hospital numbers. It appears that the summer lie was simply to try to coerce the public to get the jab. To make matters worse, Lt. governor Josh Green admits that despite what happens in the future, the vaccine card is here to stay.
