This is the first version of an award winning poem about a young Anzac in the Australian Light Horse Regiment who died at the charge of Beersheba in 1917.
The poem explores the suffering of loved ones who waited at home in vain, and the eerie telepathic signs some received in Australia at the moment of his passing on the other side of the world. A 2014 version of this poem has been posted.

This is an updated version of the poem written by Jim Brown, but with a new musical arrangement by Vince Brophy.
The audio track of this video is the same performed on stage in "The ANZAC on the Wall" concert where Jim and Vince tell the story the ANZACS in a uniquely moving way, using popular and original verse, songs and yarnspinning (Visit www.theanzaconthewall.com.au)
This version of the poem followed the popularity of the original video posted on youtube which attracted 35,000 hits. The ANZAC on the Wall concert has gained to rave reviews, as Australia celebrates the centenary of the ANZAC's landing at Gallipoli.
