Space Marines - Der Stählerne Kaiser (Space Marines - The Emperor of Steel or ... - The Steel Emperor, as shown in the video) is hex-based strategy game by German company Software 2000. Despite the title, the game has nothing to do with Warhammer 40k. It is more reminiscent of Blue Byte's Battle Isle series (arguably Blue Byte's biggest success before The Settlers took off), which was very popular back in the day, and Hudson's Nectaris.
You lead an army in a fight against robotic forces. The game is divided into missions on separate maps. Movement is turn-based. An important aspect is the supply for your troops, since units have limited fuel and ammo. Units next to depots can be restocked at the end of the turn, but in any other case you have to send supply units.
As far as a know, the game was only released n German language.
