Kedar has at last been found and brought back to safety, but it looks like returning his mind to normal after what the Mechanists did to him might prove more difficult. Fortunately Malak knows of a magical artefact that is said to have unimaginable healing powers, the Scales of Amaris, rumoured to be located somewhere inside an abandoned hospital in the walled off, haunted part of the City.
Zaya is now planning on finding the scales and using them to heal Kedar.
All loot collected, all 2 out of 1 secrets found, all notes read (I think). Undead don't seem to have pockets.
Pretty easy mission, technically. Literally the hardest parts are figuring out that the really steep roof is traversable, overcoming your own fear of the undead and physics.
I got a little bit annoyed when I messed up several good runs of this level, always near the end by supposedly taking falling damage when failing to ascend ladders, because as you know I wanted to do a 0 damage playthrough. Some of those ladders don't work right.
I also had to consult a walkthrough the first time I played this game when I couldn't find the second stone or the last journal in the inaccessible tower because in all other levels a roof with that texture is impossible to move on if it's even at a slight angle, let alone almost vertical. I didn't even see any hints that there could be something there from below. In comparison, the big Thief 2X offices secret is easy to find since the entrance there looked suspicious to me the first time I entered the room with the scales.
The enemies here might look scary, but I found them to be complete pushovers if you get caught. The green floating skulls raise the zombies nearby when they spot you, but the zombies don't start off knowing your location so you can just sneak away. Sometimes the skulls blow up and damage you first and I don't know if it's a glitch or what, but they rarely blew up for me and the zombies are only tough if you get stuck in the terrain.
