Laptop chips have been "sandwiched" to motherboards for years, using a "ball grid array" of solder blobs that are melted by placing the motherboard in an infrared oven. This repair technique is very similar to how the chips are attached at the factory, and it'll work on desktop and laptop motherboards, game consoles, and any other circuit board with BGA soldered chips. That's right! Ycan fix failed BGAs on the motherboard of your PS3, PS4, original Xbox, or Xbox 360 with the same technique shown here.
