teawitjenn So a woman by the name of Erin Renee Jackson (@ thecannabird) decided to make what she thought was a funny #TikTok video that shows you can #goblack and go back (weird flex). What’s even worse is after the obvious backlash she received she thought it was smart to let us know not only that this sweet baby girl is ADOPTED but also proceeded to tell this baby girls ‘story’ to make the video seem okay. @ thecannabird you failed to see before anyone even knew the child was adopted that it wasn’t funny because you used the child as a prop to debunk a suburban myth. Then you failed to see how you did even worse by explaining yourself so that you came out the hero who rescued her. But you ended up being the woman who used her black adopted daughter as a prop to debunk a suburban myth you couldn’t even relate to. You probably saw it on #TikTok saw something stuck out and decided to go for it....because the ignorance was just too funny to resist. You’re just as ignorant as the people who stared or made comments on why there’s one black child in the bunch. You chose to make light of the ignorance and then post a explanation video instead of posting one video saying ‘she’s adopted, I see her as my own, mind your fuckin business’. Please if you’re going to give these babies homes connect them and teach them their history too and check your ignorance at the door because I assure you they will hear enough of it in the schools. #BLM #BlackLivesStillMatter
