1. Marriage should be honored, and a gay wedding dishonors its meaning.
(Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge. Hebrews 13v4)
2. A homosexual union is not marriage.
(Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. Genesis 2v24)
3. Homosexual unions are not joined in heaven.
Leviticus 20v13
Romans 1v21-32
4. Homosexual unions are a sin, not a celebration.
(Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6v9-10)
5. Christian love should not rejoice in wrongdoing.
Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. (1 Corinthians 13v6)
6. Going to a gay wedding makes you a witness which sends a confusing message to the world.
(But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1v8)
7. Attending a gay wedding goes against
Christian convictions.
(But he who doubts is condemned if he eats because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin. Romans 14v23)
