The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, held an emergency cabinet meeting yesterday, at about the same time as a Hungarian minister and ambassador were thought to be in the building. And video footage has emerged of the Hungarian foreign minister leaving the Cabinet Office Friday morning.
Not only that, it is reported that the Cabinet Minister, Michael Gove, together with two other unnamed ministers met with the Hungarian foreign minister the day before.
This has led to speculation that the Hungarian government might be working with the UK government with the intention of vetoing any further Brexit extensions.
As you will know, it only takes one of the other EU27 member states to reject an Article 50 extension request to stop the whole Remain thing in its tracks.
And Hungary is thought to be one of the UK's best allies where Brexit is concerned.
So, some sort of agreement might well have been reached, with some pundits joining up the dots by pointing to the legal memo sent to the Court of Sessions yesterday stating that it is government policy to send that Article 50 letter in a accordance with the Benn Surrender Act, if there's no deal by the 19th of October, as well as the later statements by both the PM and his advisor, Dominic Cummings saying that it's either this new deal or no deal on the 31st of October while also ruling ou..
