The NF-104A was an American high-performance, supersonic, low-cost astronaut training vehicle, used by the Air Force Test Pilot School at Edwards Air Force Base and had a 6,000 pound thrust rocket engine in its tale for extra power. The vehicle was built to reach heights of 125,000 feet. It was taken down by "New Berlin," and obviously they wanted the pilot to survive.
