The Jeremy Corbyn has now said he wants to see a second EU referendum and that his Labour Party will back Remain.
But, there is a rider to this.
That is, that any referendum would only, it seems apply to a Tory government negotiated deal that he did not like, or to a no deal Brexit.
What is not clearly stated is the position Jeremy Corbyn would take if he managed to win power through a general election.
In a letter to Labour Party members Jeremy Corbyn wrote:
"Whoever becomes the new prime minister should have the confidence to put their deal, or no deal, back to the people in a public vote.
"In those circumstances, I want to make it clear that Labour would campaign for Remain against either no deal or a Tory deal that does not protect the economy and jobs."
So it's not quite the whole Remain hog ..... yet!
But the heads of the five largest unions affiliated to Labour also wanted a confirmatory vote on any deal that Labour managed to negotiate.
And the Labour deputy leader, Tom Watson wants the party to adopt a full on Remain stance.
The Labour Remainer MP Hilary Benn, said Corbyn's letter was a big step forward and significant, saying:
"We can now see there is nothing that can be better negotiated that is better for jobs, that is better than the deal we currently have."
Which is obviously pure Remainer talk.
