Cybex Escape (1986, C64)

Cybex Escape is a puzzle-platformer by Alfred Boot which was released by Lunasoft. You play an unnamed inhabitant of earth who has been invited by the inhabitants of the recently discovered planet Cybex-V. Upon your arrival you discover that all of the inhabitants of Cybex-V have disappeared, leaving you alone on a planet with a hostile environment and an aggressive defence system. You need to find your way around and find a method to leave the planet.
The game shares a feature with Lode Runner, as you cannot jump. Instead, you have to rely on platforms to carry you around, and turning bridges on and off. Apart from being on foot you also have to fly a spaceship though parts of the levels to reach switches and keys. Apart from traps there are also enemies in the levels to be avoided. You start the game without any extra lives, but you get a new live every thousand points. You can collect gears to score points. White gears are special items. If you collect one, you get all remaining points on the bonus counter which is counting down during play. Collecting a white gear will also set the counter to 1000 again.
