So reasons I don't like the Half-Life 2 episodes are basically the fact that you have to drag Alyx along for the entirety of both games. Having an NPC partner wasn't so bad in Half-Life 2 because those parts didn't last long and they were manageable for me at least. I'm not an expert on NPC health so I don't know nor if I trust that I can keep Alyx alive for an entire two games. I wish there was a way to make ally NPCs invincible.
