Both men served with the 1st Cavalry Division in Korea. Mr. Puterbaugh wears the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Private First Class Vines wears the Combat Infantry Badge as well as the Bronze Star and the Presidential Unit Citation.
