Man I love Naruto, Shippuden is great too, Boruto is growing on me.
... I'll share a tiny bit about myself, mostly my old-self:
I was first introduced to Naruto when I was maybe 9 or 10? Latest I'd say 11, would see it occasionally before I asked myself 'so what the hell is this??' I'd see it on 'Jetix';
I got hooked when I recognized the loneliness and understood why he was raging out so often; school was tough, REALLY tough. As I got through life I was happy to find out I was not actually alone in that feeling, and that was un-ironically much less lonely.
From primary all the way to 6th form/college I'd have these fits of rage, I actually got known for that for a few years too, wasn't great, people would intentionally try to trigger it >_<
As I got older I got better at controlling it, maybe snapped once or twice since then; through Uni-life and beyond I believe it has allowed, enabled and assisted me to assimilate it, literally.
This above is why I got attached to Young Naruto.
Older Naruto is overall a really good role model, though he could talk to Boruto more... that is the cost of becoming Hokage I guess.
No I unfortunately do not have a 9 tailed beast :(
but I have met people who seem like they are definitely possessed by something. Might've even been them at one point D:
I used to have a friend whom is now hopefully a Dr, he would always tell me not to empathize or connect my life or the happenings with a fictional characters and events and honestly, I think he is a fool for that and possibly missing the actual point.
Like Naruto now, I have true friends now and all the support I could need and like I have them, I hope you do too.
