Surviving Weimerika ep 35- Flight of the Hussars part 2 w/Paul Moczar ( Poland & the JQ)

On this week's Surviving Weimerika I am rejoined by Polish nationalist/host of Slavosphere ( https://slavosphere.pinecast.co/), Paul Moczar to discuss the historical relationship between Poles & Jews. From the conversation with Paul we learn that during the 1200s special mandates were made which afforded Jews special privileges over the Polish population. This statue was called The Statute of Kalisz ( http://polishfreedom.pl/en/document/a-general-privilege-for-the-jews-in-greater-poland-the-statue-of-kalisz) which was further expanded by the king of Poland in 1300s. The treatment of the Jews within Poland was unique compared to the other regions within Europe. From the beginning Jews within this region controlled the slave trade which extended into the Islamic world. Blood libel and restrictive speech laws regarding Poland are discussed from which we learn most of the ''restrictive'' laws have their origin within America. In addition militant LGBT rights lobbies are making their way into Poland through support by Polish Jews.
