Francis Ford Coppola is a renown filmmaker and he's apparently willing to break the bank to self-produce 'Megalopolis' a movie according to IMDB revolves about the rebuilding of a city after a disaster.

While I think the teaser is so…

While I think the teaser is sort of amazing it's really odd and something tells me that IMDB might have it wrong though why is Coppola self-financing instead of working within the studio system?

Is 'Megalopolis' so good that he wants to finance it himself, knowing he'll get an ample return on his $120 million investment or is it so noncommercial that self financing it the only way it would see the light of day?

LESS
