Soundcase in Lelystad. (Picture taken on the roof of Tetterode Amsterdam). The Sound-Case consists of an empty vinyl-case filled with electronics. My artistic choices for this instrument are based on pure and authentic sounds without doing any sound technical concessions for their visual appearance. (Although my restrictions consisted of the fact that I wanted the equipment to be small, easy to transport and quick to set up.) Furthermore I was combining the extremes of the sound spectrum i.e. analogue sounds of sensor operated electrical circuits producing creaks and beeps together with very polished sounds from a synthesizer. In this way an authentic and direct sound image is derived; rough extremes without dull average greys.
