Part 9 – The Safety of the Vaccines – Adverse Effects continued (v) Anecdotal Evidence?
I have been waiting for this moment with some degree of dread. I’m surprised that it hasn’t happened sooner. I wish that it wouldn’t have happened at all, but there we are …
I now know of four people who seem to have suffered adverse reactions after having taken the vaccines.
Two are family members. The other two, are people that I don’t personally know, but have been told about by a family member and a friend.
Of the two people that I have been told about … one was admitted to hospital after receiving a vaccine. I don’t know his status now. The other person died shortly after receiving the booster.
Of the two members of my family who have had problems, one has Bell’s Palsy now and the other suffered somewhat after having had a booster.
I will be focusing here on the family member who had the booster.
Let’s assume, for the purposes of this discussion, that the vaccines are bona fide and that the claims made about them, are valid – that they are indeed vaccines and are aimed at remedying the issue with COVID. And that they are not poisonous to humans - as has been alleged.
My family member who got the Booster dose was hit hard by it. I should say, just for the record, that she seemed to suffer no ill-effects from the previous two vaccinations. But with third one, she wasn’t so lucky. She was bed-ridden for a fair period and is still in recovery. I should also say that interestingly, she describes herself as having “got COVID”.
The next bit might seem like I’m going off on a tangent, but it ties in, so please bear with me … I’m sure that most people are by now aware of the history of vaccines - when and how vaccines were first developed. For those of you who aren’t aware, allow me to relay some information … Edward Jenner is credited with discovering vaccines in 1796 when he used a cow pox virus to give immunity from smallpox. He noticed that milkmaids didn’t suffer from (were immune to) small pox and speculated that they had immunity due to their body’s immune system having already dealt with the cow pox virus. The cow pox virus is part of the same family as small pox virus, but it’s a more benign version. He began to give an inoculum of cow pox to people and this seemed to give a sufficient level of immunity to small pox. This is called “cross immunization”.
Vaccines are made in a few different ways. They each differ in design depending on the strategy (the plan of attack) that has been decided on. Traditional vaccines have used T-cells to provide immunity. The vaccine tricks the body into remembering the profile of an attacker so that the body is in a position to act should exposure to that attacker occur. The benefit of vaccines is in providing immunity without having to experience the actual illness itself.
Dead, or disabled, viruses can be used. These are obviously not able to do any harm. Vaccines also sometimes use live viruses. It would obviously be too dangerous, and run entirely counter to desired effect, to introduce a real f
