A Prudent Man Sees Danger and Takes Refuge, but the Naive Keep Going On and Suffer For It (Proverbs 22:3)

You’ve all read this verse before, but this particular commentary looks at it from a different angle. Especially with what is ahead of us.
Wisdom of Physical Preparation
This verse certainly speaks to the wisdom of physical preparation, and to be able to prepare for tough times.
Use God's Wisdom as a Compass and Light
This verse is very much the passage of scripture that is likened to one being asked to use God's word as a compass, lantern and light to show the way and light the path (Psalms 119:105).
Be Also Spiritually Ready
In addition to physical preparedness, this verse also encourages us to also be spirituality prepared. To know, and to believe that Yahweh is our rock, and our refuge from danger before any amount of beans, bullets or band-aids. And, in the same way we can’t wait for the crisis to stock up on provisions afterwards, and neither can we wait ’til the shit hits the fan to seek refuge in Yahweh. We must be prepared BEFOREHAND.
Be Proactive and Take Action Before the Event
The ideology of being prepared is to be "proactive". We must understand the wisdom of buying a flashlight before the lights go out, and to stock up on food and essentials before the shelves go empty.
Seek Yahweh Before Day of Trouble and Death
We also should understand what a good decision it is to seek Yahweh now before time's of unprecedented trouble comes (Zephaniah 2:3).
When we’re faced with disaster like job loss, or some other Tsunami, we’ll weather the storm much better if we’re steeped in our relationship with God.
Time for Appropriate Dedication
How do we do that? By dedicating time each day to being in His presence. The three primary ways of doing that are "prayer", "worship" and "reading your Bible".
During this time now, I really hope you’ll all decide to dedicate time alone with God, so you’ll be spiritually prepared for what may yet come in 2020, and beyond.
Don't Seek World's Things
The most important preparation of all is knowing GOD. Jesus said “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul?” What good will it do you to survive the coming economic collapse, war or even worse, if you don’t know God? In Luke, a rich man decides to build for years to come, but doesn't know God. In one single night he loses everything, including his life.
See Calamity and Prepare
There's more to life, more to than just survival of what's coming, that's why the man of God sees the calamity, PREPARES FOR IT, and relies on the word of his God as a light to be directed. He does not live on bread alone.
Storm Clouds On Our Horizon
The storm clouds have already gathered, get ready, get preparing, so you can survive what's coming, and beyond.
Be Busy At Preparing To Stay Alive
Don't be like the stupid that suffer the punishment for ignoring the warning signs. Get ready, be busy at living, let the dead bury their dead, but you get busy doing what needs to be done NOW. Get busy at staying alive.
