WillRobinsonEnsoniq - Cover of Duran Duran's Rio - Instrumental [sd 360p]

The original description by the composer: "Not an easy song to cover. I MIDI'd the Roland D5 to the Ensoniq TS12 for the intro Piano and then reversed the audio and video. The TS12 was used for the bass (compressed afterwards in Audacity.) The drums and percussion were a mix of the TS12 and VFX SD sweetened up a bit in Audacity for that stadium ambience. The Guitar effects for the verse sections and sax solo were, I don't remember actually, the Ibanez through a variety of effects on the Digitech RP350. The sax (unfortunate you cannot see the pitchbend work involved in the video) was a mix of three sounds on the TS12 layered and played with the necessary aftertouch, and then processed in Audacity as it needed to be dripping with reverb. The synths were a challenge. The staccato sound (VFX SD) for the verse was not audio delay but the Chase MIDI delay played from the Roland D5. All other synth sounds from the birds to the laugh sound and dark pads were created on the TS12. The Sample and Hold/ resonance sound at the end of the 3rd verse was lost forever when the TS12 crashed, a rare event. I may try to recreate it someday. Instead of playing the chorus lead on guitar, I chose the Yamaha MIDI'd into the TS12 using portamento to get the slides down but the pitchbend started acting up towards the end of the song. Yes, it may not be a 100% accurate, but I took the parts I liked best from the remixes and studio versions. Thank you again Duran Duran, 2 more covers to go to complete the RIO album."
