Like a set piece from "The Price is Right" crossed with WWII era propaganda posters, arrows slide up and down along graphics of shirtless workers being oppressed or liberated, indicating Despotism or Democracy, Propaganda or Free Press, etc. It's One or the Other in this simplistic black-and-white educational film: there are no shades of gray; there are no other options. The message may be valid, urging you to rate your own community and its values, but these actor-illustrated examples are so cartoonish and so specific to WWII that they practically ensure you wouldn't recognize despotism in your neighborhood unless soldiers walked around with black armbands harrassing "Hebrews" and zieg heil-ing a swastika-esque flag. The Ministry of Propaganda has a brass plaque labeling it "Ministry of Propaganda." Gee, with clues this subtle it's easy to see why we would need a film to educate us about despotism!

It can't happen here, right folks?
