Diablo is a an action-RPG originally developed by Blizzard North for PC. It was ported to the Playstation by British company Climax (later known as Climax Fareham and Climax Solent) and published by Electronic Arts. The game was also released for classic Mac. A Saturn port was planned, but cancelled.

Diablo is a variant of the classic game Hack: you go through the levels of a dungeon which are randomly generated. The focus is on fighting monsters to build your character and find better equipment. There are three different classes to choose from: warrior, rogue and sorcerer. All have different maximum values for the attributes, and each has a unique ability. The warrior can repair items, the rogue can disarm traps and the sorcerer can recharge magical staffs. As the repair skill indicated, equipment can break from too many hits and clashed.
You can save your character and restart the game to play from the start with higher stats.
