An elderly lady was dropped off in the middle of a bike lane in New York City leaving her struggling and helpless in the backseat until this stranger cyclist arrived.

Shot last week (January 17) in Manhattan the unmoving taxi driver pulled in close to the bike lane resulting in the passenger's door blocking the path.

Using a walking stick she struggled to pull herself out of the door from the seat until her cyclist in reflective armour came to save the day.

She eventually got out and thanked the cyclist and they both went their separate ways.
