Journalist James Delingpole has told talkRADIO the government's handling of the coronavirus pandemic "is the biggest scam in the history of the world." Speaking to Ian Collins, Mr Delingpole said the government is wasting taxpayers' money dealing with Covid-19, and that "my children and my grandchildren are going to be paying off for the rest of their lives." Asked if he would be following lockdown measures, the journalist replied: "Well I haven't been so far, so I don't think I'm about to start now." Downing Street again insisted England’s national lockdown will expire on December 2 following reports it could be extended. The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said: “In terms of the progress which is being made, obviously we will wait to see further data over the course of the next week or so.”
