David Hoover is a young man who recently finished moving into a new apartment recommended to him by some close friends of his, after deciding that doing so would probably help him move on with a particularly rough part of his life, but unfortunately for him it quickly becomes apparent that the apartment he just moved into has something supernatural haunting it - something that seems to be calling out to him specifically, and once these strange happenings become too much for David he flees from the apartment in terror, shaken by everything he's seen during his first few nights in his new home.
When David decides to start looking into the former tenant of the apartment after discovering some notes the man apparently left behind in the haunted apartment, thinking that the former tenant might be able to help him with his situation in some way, he finds that any information on this former tenant is severely lacking - although perhaps it WOULDN'T be so lacking if David, as suggested by Neosekken himself, decided to let the landlord of the apartment complex he's staying in look up whatever records she had of the guy when she offered to look him up for David, but as Neo himself can attest to, having played this game before half a decade ago, this won't be the only questionable decision that David will make on the journey that he decides to embark on to look for the former tenant of the apartment he moved into. Unfortunately for David AND Neo, this journey won't be as easy, or safe, as David thinks it will be...
If watching Neo play as a man going on a bizarre journey to find a former tenant in a haunted apartment he just moved into while dealing with some supernatural terrors along the way sounds remotely interesting to you, then join Neo as he relieves a bit of nostalgia replaying "The Crooked Man", the first game in the "Strange Men" series created by developer "Uri"!
