I need to rebuild the steady rest for my lathe in order to work on an upcoming job. The second part of this project is the first actual part for the steady rest, which is the missing thimble. Given how long it took, it had to be divided into two videos. The second, which is the longest video in the entire series, shows the process for boring out the inside, cutting internal threads, and finishing off the end.
