Lakesha Ball celebrated joyfully as she rang the “Hope Bell” at Maryland Proton Treatment Center, signifying the end of her cancer treatment. Ball rang the bell after her final radiation treatment at the center on March 11, having been given the all-clear. She had been diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2017.
