What are the Risks of a Knee Stem Cell Treatment
Hi, I'm Josh with dream body clinic. I'm going to break this down for you today. The risks with the knee stem cell treatment are like the risks of any injection. It is a needle going into your body. There is always a chance of infection with an injection. Now that risk is so minuscule It's nearly impossible, so we don't really stress about that. We use iodine on the area. The stem cells are sterile, we give you a certificate proving that. We use brand new needles. We use surgical clubs. We go over the top to make sure that infection is not a risk so that you don't have to worry about that.We never have had a case of infection, probably never will because of the safety measures we take.
The next thing to cover are the cells themselves. People freak out thinking what if they change my DNA. Well, stem cell are from another person, but it's DNA won't change any of your characteristics. It is not changing the gene, genome or anything else. Stem cells can't affect genetics. You don't have to sit there and worry. For example, think of it like getting a blood transfusion from a donor that has the same blood type as you, or from a universal donor. It's not going to change your DNA. Sometimes that confusion comes in because of the bone marrow derived stem cell therapies. The problem with those is that, for example, my uncle had leukemia and had to get a donation from his sister and you know they've done studies he actually now has part of her DNA. If he was to commit a crime, he could even be shown as her. It's completely different from what we do. I'm just trying to give you an example of where these misconceptions come from.
So, there is no DNA altering, anything like that. That's not the way mesenchymal stem cells work. The stem cell also lacks what's called HLA human leukocyte antigen. That's what would tell your body to reject it as a form intruder For example, if I needed a kidney donation and let's say my son was a perfect match, I get his kidney. Well, my body's going to want to reject that because even though we're a match, his HLA markers would be different. So you would have to take immunosuppressant drugs. It's a whole thing. Mesenchymal stem cells are actually being used to treat that rejection process called graft versus host disease. If anything, they can help with that. So it's pretty incredible stuff. There's zero chance of infection. There's zero chance of rejection. And it's super safe.
We have done probably close to a thousand stem cell knee treatments, If not more at this point, over the last four years. I've personally done my knee over four years ago, multiple meniscus tears, ACL tear and it's all healed. The MRIs are on the site to prove it. We've done this for countless other people. So it is extremely safe. It's not something you have to worry about.
We do our best to keep costs down as much as possible. The knee treatment is $2,000 dollars. That includes an MRI and blood work and 25 million STEM cells. It's hit to your pocket is not that hard compared to what a surgery or a replacement would cost. It helps you avoid surgery. That alone is priceless. So there's nothing but upside, there's zero chance of infection or rejection.
The very worst case is that your knee does not heal as much as you want it to. We've not had a single patient that didn't have some sort of regeneration with the knee treatment. So we are very confident in it. There are tons of studies of stem cells, I believe the count's over 30,000 if you go to pub med. These have been researched, they are safe. Do your own homework though. Take a look. If you want a free consultation to learn more about our new treatment, just give us a call. It's (833) 445–9089.
