A new music video made for a 53 year old rock song out of Omaha Nebraska USA from the seminal Omaha rock band Pilot.
A live performance recording of a song written in 1970 performed at The University of Nebraska at Omaha"s Milo Bail Student Center in April 1972 as part of a music workshop, forging a jazz ensemble horn section with an original song from a generative rock band.
Wake Up America, a half a century's old song is even more valid today.
WAKE UP AMERICA
So you're tired of fighting
You wanna lay down your gun
But the man says no
And that the job has got to be done
We've got to give these people something
They don't even want
WAKE UP AMERICA
I know it seems silly
But then that's the way we live
We'll fight for the freedom of a country
Where we don't even live
And back home our land is dying
But who can we blame for this
Wake up america
Where are we going my love
Where are we going my love
Where are we going my love
Where are we going my love
Solo
My love is my country
But I know that love can die
Already a deadly plague
Has begun to eat at my pride
Has no one an open mind
To bring the truth in sight
Wake up america
Where are we going my love
Where are we going my love
Where are we going my love
Where are we going my love
