Under it all people want to see a traditional happy ending. The hero wins. Gets their just rest and rewards. With RPGs this is even more important. You have to give the player the most optimum ending. No matter the setting. People crave happy endings still. Even if they deny it initially. The world has enough GRRM downer crap clogging everything. Give people uplifting options. No matter the medium.

It's important to mention things in blurbs that will capture the right audience. Be frank. Tell them what to expect with your book beyond a sentence or two about the plot in the blurb. If they want optimism, be honest about it on the book cover.

When I launch Uplift Protocol I plan on stating: "Tired of Downer endings? Tired of GRRM grit realism in your protagonists? Or their side cast? Want traditional heroics and a return to Paragons of Virtue? Read Uplift Protocol today!"
