Man Nearly Hit by Branch During Manchester Tornado

A man in Altrincham had a lucky escape on July 19, when strong winds, from what the Met Office described as a tornado, sent a large tree branch crashing to the ground beside him. The tornado was first reported via a weather report from Manchester Airport. Visitors to the Royal Horticultural Society’s Tatton Park Flower Show spotted the cloud and posted video to social media.
