Max Strus Embarrasses His Defender with an Impressive Dunk

Max Strus (27 years old) is a white American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association. He played college basketball for the DePaul Blue Demons. In this clip from his days at DePaul, Strus impressively drives to the basket and sails through the air for a powerful two-handed dunk. Strus is only 6'6" but his defender (a black player) is helpless to stop him and probably a bit embarrassed. We emphasize the races here because we have been hearing at least since 1992 that "white men can't jump." (The film was remade in 2023.) Actually, there are not many white players in the NBA and not so many in college ball, either. But the recent performance of Mac McClung in the NBA slam dunk competition and notable moves from others like Strus may present a blow to the pride of some black players. They may struggle with the idea that even a few white players can match their athleticism on the court.
