President Donald Trump spoke at the Young Black Leadership Summit at the White House this afternoon and opened with comments about the arrest of the suspect in connection with the scares this week.
The doj is expected to speak this afternoon to provide more information on the suspect. The targets were high-profile Democrats and many reporters have noticed the many Trump stickers on the van.
The President praised the great work of law enforcement, saying, these “te acts are despicable and have no place in our country.”
He added, “We must never allow political vio to take root in America. We cannot let it happen. We are committed to do everything to stop it. To stop it now.”
