[Late Night Esoterica] Truly surreal depiction of the average American's living room

The director, Derek Savage, makes artistic and aesthetic choices that are so baffling that it's hard to believe that this is a kid's movie and not some kind of hip art film. The dialogue is on point, as usual, with a news reporter using the "my best friend is black" excuse except in reference to the Corona virus. And can we talk about that shelf with the pictures on it? There are maybe 24" of shelf space and someone stuck 4 pictures on it, which is just excessive first of all. From left to right, we have a white 20 something, the director's real-life family, a black man in sunglasses with a bowtie getting his senior yearbook photo retaken 10 years after his graduation, and a furry. What in the fuck. What fucking maniac lives in this house?
