November 11, 1918 is called armistice day and marked the end of the great war and also the end of 4 empires, the German, Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and Russian. 15-20 million people lost their lives, almost half were civilian casualties. The stalemates and suicide charges at the fronts were a huge waste of lives, live that were already a hell in the trenches.
It was supposed to be the war to end all wars, today we know that war never ends.
