911 Call: On September 24, 2010, Alexandra Engler was killed in her home outside New Orleans, in a suburb of Baton Rouge. Looking to steal a large plasma TV, 20 year old Aramis Jackson, a multiple convicted felon out on parole, broke in and shot the 42-year-old Mother in the head, then stood over Alexandra's 9-year-old daughter, and shot her 3 times as she lay on the floor next to her mother's body. The child, shot 3 times, survived the attack by playing dead and was able to crawl away and call 911. Jackson left bloody footprints and DNA at the scene which tied him to the murder and attempted murder. Jackson, according to a psychologist's report filed in the case, was arrested for the first time at the age of 11 and had been arrested nine times by the time he was 17.
A lifelong violent criminal, he was set free, again, to prey on an unprotected public.
