THE ROLLING STONES - LIVE IN JAPAN (1990 CONCERT)
The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962.
Active for over six decades, they are one of the most popular and enduring bands of the Rock Era.
The Rolling Stones pioneered the gritty, rhythmically driven sound that came to define Hard Rock in the early 60's and were at the forefront of the British Invasion.
They first found greater success with "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" (1965), "Get Off of My Cloud" (1965), and "Paint it Black" (1966), "Let's Spend the Night Together" (1967), "Jumpin' Jack Flash" (1968), "Honky Tonk Women" (1969), "Sympathy for the Devil" (1969), "You Can't Always Get What You Want" (1969), "Gimme Shelter" (1970), "Brown Sugar" (1971), "Tumbling Dice" (1972), and "Angie" (1973), "Miss You" (1978) and "Start Me Up" (1981).
After a small hiatus, "Steel Wheels" (1989) was widely considered a comeback album and generated large stadium and arena tours, as the Stones continued to be a huge concert attraction; by 2007 they had recorded the all-time highest-grossing concert tour three times, and as recently as 2021 they were the highest-earning live act of the year.
Until Charlie Watts' death in 2021, the band continued as a four-piece core, with Darryl Jones playing bass on tour and on most studio recordings, while Steve Jordan became their touring drummer following Watts' death.
The Rolling Stones' estimated record sales of 200 million make them one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
As a part of their "comeback tour", the Stones performed at the Tokyo Dome in Japan between February 14 and 27, 1990.
Here we bring you the full concert on February 26th.
