Note: War is not a part of human nature, conflict is.
War is the most primitive way to resolve any conflict (even the most technologically advanced forms of warfare; either kinetic, covert or psychological).
But war becomes inevitable when all other avenues of conflict resolution have either failed or never been tried.
War is initiated by the ruling class of different regions for the benefit of the ruling class and their lackeys.
Common people on all sides (especially if they cannot fend for themselves physically and financially) are the primary victims of all wars.
The ruling class siphons private resources (both capital and human) from their tax base to enrich themselves and take out any liabilities to their hold on power.
The primary human resource that the ruling class wants is the support of the masses. Leading, eventually, to the complete control of the masses. The primary tools used for this end are psychological warfare tactics aimed at behavioral modification/mind control of the target population.

Note 2: "World peace" can be achieved by eliminating all human beings just like "full employment" can be achieved by enslaving all of humanity.
