Purchased these speakers off eBay, knowing they were faulty with the hope that I could repair them.

Brand new, these speakers retail for £120, while I managed to get them for £35... because they are faulty.

I tried for two days to find the problem, and instead the faults just escalated. I eventually threw in the towel and gave up.

They are going back on eBay as Spares or Repairs, but not before I've asked for some help here, to see if anyone else has any knowledge about what could be wrong.
