The second wash of colour is watercolour ink there are many types of watercolour ink that you can use. I use Ecoline. This is an azure blue mixed with cobalt blue tubes of paint. Mixing the colour with my Chinese hake so the paint is on the brush instantly. I pour a small some ink out of the bottle onto the plate. Then apply carefully so not to speckle the paper so hold your brush taught and control where you place the colour for the sky over the previous yellow wash. Paper must be wet.
