“Romulus” (ROMVLVS) is a 2020 TV Show, produced by Sky Italy, Cattleya and Groenlandia, created and directed by Matteo Rovere. The series, divided into 10 episodes and set in the VIII century BC, narrates the events preceding the birth of Rome. It is shot in Archaic Latin (hardcoded English subtitles) and takes its cue from the mythical tale of twins Romulus and Remus, founders of Rome.
The series offers a reconstruction of archaic society, carried out with the help of archaeologists and historians, such as Andrea Carandini, Paolo Carafa and Valentino Nizzo, who work on mythography and the genesis of the myth.
Although it shares its setting and the archaic Latin-language with Rovere's previous film, The First King (Il Primo Re: https://www.bitchute.com/video/EulITfNLTthj/), the series has no connection with it and the plot is completely different.
The soundtrack of the series was composed by Mokadelic, while the opening theme, performed by Elisa, is the cover of the song Shout.
Episode 1: When drought hits the 30 tribes, the gods force King Numitor of Alba to leave his land with his daughter Silvia. Enitos and Yemos, her two children, are hereditary princes, but the power goes to Amulius, her uncle.
