Paul Williams talks about the major taxi scam involving sham marriages on the Niall Boylan Show (Ireland)
Journalist Paul Williams who broke the story that the gardaí working had been investigating a major taxi scam which had uncovered that 180 non-EU nationals had obtained licences despite having no legal status in Ireland, talks to Niall Boylan.
He told Niall that at least 2000 sham marriages have taken place in Ireland and a lot of these were connected to the taxi fraud investigation.
Williams also revealed that one man in the UK would set up hundreds of fake businesses in Ireland for asylum seekers in order to leave a paper trail for authorities. These paper trails were to feign domicile status in Ireland so asylum seekers could make use of family reunification scheme which up until 2015 allowed asylum seekers to bring in nephews, nieces, cousins, grand parents, parents spouses and children.
Two Algerian ISIS supporters had sham-married EU nationals living in the midlands. Another jihadi who had sham-married in Ireland was responsible for the London bridge attack.
Paul Williams said that it took the Irish authorities seven years and a lot of money to deport one ISIS ring-leader who was described as a major player involved in recruitment and a logistics manager. It was all kept "hush-hush" and the courts banned everyone from discussing who he was. He was able to stay in Ireland because he had a son who was born here even though he lived outside the country most of his life.
