Lost - Destiny 2 lore speed paint - The Child Guardian

I get very immersed in my work. In order to effectively paint a happy scene, it's best if I work with happiness in mind, feeling and understanding it. This piece was depicting great and terrible loss, and it honestly hurt to make. Throughout the course of this piece, I had to constantly put myself in the "head space" of a mother who not only witnessed the death of her child, but the grief and defiance. Rage at the hands of fate, God, or those that took her child. Naturally, I'll never be a mother so I'll never truly see through one's perspective, but I hope I translated those feeling well enough in this piece.
So this piece depicts a moment in the lore that's theorized to be the resurrection of a child guardian. Not only that, but it's also theorized that this child guardian is none other than Shin Malphur, the man with the golden gun that shot down Dredgen Yor.
