Paradise Resident Finds Town Destroyed After Camp Fire

The Butte County Sheriff’s Department said the Camp Fire death toll had reached 42 by Monday, November 12, making it the deadliest in state history. About 200 people were still missing, County Sheriff Kory Honea said at a news conference. The fire has destroyed about 7,000 structures, most of them homes. The U.S. Forest Service reported the fire to be 30 percent contained and active on 125,000 acres on Tuesday, November 13. At the time of publication, more than 5,000 firefighters were said to be battling the blaze. Video taken on Clarke Road in Paradise, California shows the extent of the destruction.
