Practicing proper (human) greetings at my seminar. Most of these dogs came in wildly out of control and couldn’t even be within ten feet of each other. This is how dogs should behave in the real world. Owners should be able to have a conversation with a stranger, and the dog should just mind it’s own business. We are not asking for dogs to meet each other or for humans to pet the dogs. We want existence, plain and simple. Teaching your dog to be neutral to environmentals allows you to do a ton of stuff with them.
