Dragon Gun is a lightgun shooter developed and published by Data East. It was only released in the arcade.

You play one of two people from the modern world who get transfered to a fantasy kingdom in order to save it.

The game is a rail- and lightgunshooter which uses 2D graphics and sprite scaling, similar to Space Gun or Alien 3 - The Gun. The screen scrolls in various directions, to the left, to the right or "forward". You have gun with rapid fire and infinite ammo. There are smart bombs in the form of dragon powers, which hit everything on screen. Sometimes a round white creature appears, carrying a power-up. You can get the power-up by shooting it. Apart from health restore you can various bombs or a temporary shield.
