Life Sentence: Lawyer Stages Elaborate Trial to Propose to Girlfriend

Two attorneys who met while working as prosecutors in Palm Beach, Florida, entered into a very special agreement on February 7. Brandon Dinetz told his girlfriend, Jennifer Lettman, that he’d like her to watch him arguing a “big DUI trial” at a Palm Beach court. She went along to lend her support. She soon realized this was no ordinary trial, however, as a jury comprised of the couple’s friends and family entered, and Dinetz began stating his case in a very personal way. After his emotional speech, Dinetz took a ring from his “co-counsel” and got down on one knee. The judge presiding sentenced the couple “to life” after Lettman said yes.
