The year is 2019. Lincoln Six-Echo (Ewen McGregor) resides in a seemingly utopian but highly controlled and contained facility. Like the other inhabitants there, Lincoln hopes to be chosen by lottery to go to the “The Island” - reportedly the last uncontaminated place on the planet.
