Iridion 3D is a shoot'em up by German developer Shin'en which was published by Majesco Sales (North America) and Interplay (Europe). It's the good old "aliens invade Earth and a single fighter needs to defeat them" routine.
The game is played from a third-person perspective, similar to Space Harrier. Enemies attack from the direction your flying to. Like many other European shooter, Iridion 3D features a health bar, but certain collision can also kill you instantly.
